Hi,

We just had our (now daily) Bug Council and we still have 11 bugs open so, no ZBR for today again...

The real concern though is about a list of 6 nasty repo bugs that are piling and hard to repro, track and, more than likely, fix. Here's the list:

9920 AttributeError: 'pem' while syncing with https://hub.chandlerproject.org
10349 Cannot select-all in Dashboard
10384 "Unknown EIM translation problem" error when syncing
10391 "NoSuchAttributeError" for "CalendarSelection.selectedOccurrences" during syncing
10401 Traceback when starting chandler
10402 Adhoc and other index errors

We started to call them "the scary bugs". After discussion with Andi, Grant and others, it seems clear that we better go to the bottom of those before we release. The bad news is that we've been very slow making progress on those (especially 9920) and that most are assigned to Andi who'll be PTO next week, and, anyhow, need our help.

In the meantime though, we're still aiming for a 9/24 7.0.1 and time flies...

So, what do we do so that we can work on those bugs and not block everyone for too long. Here's a plan:
- We continue to work on the remaining (11) bugs till the end of this week
- On Monday, we should be down to only the "scary" bugs. We'll branch 0.7 Preview that day. Only fix for those "scary" (and any additional of the same level of criticality) bugs will happen on that branch. The trunk will be open for 0.7.1 work (60 some bugs to work on). I'm assuming that we're going with S2 as an svn topology solution (which got the most vote). - Testing the scary bugs: Aparna will send a description of the settings that has apparently be more prone to revealing those bugs. It seems for instance that having collections shared and edited by several people is a condition of some. Deletion of collections is producing problems too. People who do not have bugs assigned should try to reproduce these bugs using some shared tests collections we'll create for this. - TBoxes: we'll need to run quick build TBoxes and unit and functional tests on the 0.7 Preview branch. Heikki will send an email detailing what will happen with regards to build and tests once we branch.

OK, we're close. Those remaining bugs are scary but we better nail them now than letting them go loose on users at launch. I'm confident we'll get to the bottom of those with the help of everyone.

Cheers,
- Philippe
