Hi I wanted to use the latest and greatest of Chandler to get started with writing a plugin (which in the end should store secret/encrypted personal information like login infos to different web-sites). So I got the latest code from subversion and followed http://chandlerproject.org/Developers/BuildingChandlerDesktop the quick and easy way (on Ubuntu 7.10). Starting Chandler in debug or release mode unfortunately resulted in an error (error report is sent with the above email-address) somewhere down in wx. As far as I remember wx got updated some days ago in Chandler, so that is probably why.
Waiting a few days and then redo the whole thing did not help. What helped was creating a new repository (./release/RunPython Chandler.py --create). Having looked at Chandler from a plugin perspective only the last few days and being a novice to Python, I do not know, whether the re-creation of the repository was a "natural" thing to do. Therefore I suggest that BuildingChandlerDesktop eventually gets a note about having to re-create the repository in some situations. Greetings from Denmark ... Rick
