OK. I am running the 64-bit Ubuntu version now. Both unit and functional
tests work for me too.
Unless you made some serious fixes (where is your patch :) ?) the chandler
you're running is not 64-bit native. There were some serious bugs that
needed fixing for it not to crash on 64-bit.
I am not even making unserious fixes yet. :-) I meant to say that
getting the latest 32-bit Ubuntu VM from SVN still worked. But
downloading your 64-bit special failed halfway through... it didn't work
until a while later. Perhaps just a repo glitch.
BTW - do you have your virtual machine set to use 1 or 2 processors?
Fusion apparently defaults to 1 for Ubuntu, but I have changed mine to
2. It seems to make it a bit zippier.
1 processor so far. I wasn't sure that giving it a second one wouldn't
require a reinstall. Even with just one, it's pretty zippy already.
Everything works using one virtual processor.
Well, some people just can't get enough speed. :-) Using two did seem a
little faster - but Chandler froze completely during tests. I tried
several times and it froze at different places. There is no need to
re-install if you want to try it: just turn off the VM and change the
number of processors.
