I'm stumbling my way through a first round of Chandler Desktop builds.
The process has been pretty simple, actually, due to docs and help
from Mike Taylor and Heikki Toivonen. We should still be extra
cautious about this stage and 0.7.4 release.
So I've prepared the first batch of software in a location for
download so we can just confirm the packages actually install, etc. I
haven't proceed with an index page or anything like a regular RC
release yet. Please forgive the (temporary) divergence from
established release procedures. The temporary location is:
http://builds.osafoundation.org/chandler/snapshots/0.7.4-rc1/
I could use volunteers to see that these packages install on their
respective platforms; so far these packages haven't even been sanity
tested, as I need to get set up with VMs and such for various platforms.
Please report any successes or failures you may have. If things are
looking good, I'll proceed to a more traditional RC1 announcement.
