Katie:
+ I was poking around metrics and google analytics with Sheila and
Mimi yesterday re the downloads spike and other activity
+ I think that will translate into some next actions for sheila,
mimi, and myself (perhaps also requiring help from some devs)
+ After talking with Mimi yesterday, want to get landing page out
soonish so will respond to her thread about that
+ After conversations with Mimi, Sheila and others realizing that it
would be helpful to do some 'high level' blog posts, etc. about what
we're up to, so going to put that on my plate
+ Also looking at some talking points for the "OSAF STORY" post
Mitch, which I think will be important when we launch 1.0 (coming
right up)
+ Also Sheila mentioned would be helpful in her conversations in the
short term
+ Have my eye on 1.0 -- want to do this in late may/early June (both
server and desktop) so want to make sure we have queues prioritized
appropriately and are doing most critical things first
+ Met with Mimi and Grant yesterday, so desktop queue is in better
shape
+ Web queue is also in pretty good shape but will continue
conversations with Travis/Jeffrey/Randy in 1:1s
+ 1:1s today
Mimi:
+ responded to some user emails
+ wrote up some thoughts about OSAF being non-profit / open source
and a platform - want to talk to sheila about that more today
+ mostly mocked up lots of stuff for travis re: subscribe and share
(excited about those changes)
+ also worked with jeffrey more on tweaking hub login page after more
feedback from katie
+ reviewed desktop q with grant - selected 6 bugs to move to the top
of q as 1.0 blockers - katie will do summary
+ next: get landing page up!
PJE:
+ So, just checked in the porting guide, and the various changes made
to make the code match the guide. :)
+ In particular, I added a make.attrs(), and dropped compute's
writable and initially options
+ (ed note: that's 'writable' and 'initially', since that last line
might appear grammatically incorrect. ;) )
'm now starting in on the main documentation rewrite and 0.7a1 release
prep
Grant:
+ Fix Bug 11842 (Cancelling export deletes backup.chex).
+ Mercifully brief Desktop Work Queue prioritization with Katie, Mimi
+ New dialog layout from Mimi for auto-update (Bug 603).
Sheila:
+ So I spent sometime yesterday looking at the metrics and preparing
for my noon meeting today
+ I am meeting with mimi this afternoon to prep for our demo tomorrow
+ I am trying to schedule a meeting with the org deploying
cosmo...get those details straightened out.
+ 1:1 with katie today to discuss metrics, next actions etc
+ Sending out more emails. I want to also start planning for the blog
posts, marketing, demos etc we are going to do when we release
1.0...all the people we want to contact etc
Randy:
+ handling some hub admin issues (low disk space for backup/users
requesting account deletion)
+ switched gears from working on scheduling stuff to trunk stuff
+ going through hub logs and identifying and fixing some bugs
+ going through some interop bugs in the 1.0-candidate bucket
+ doing some testing on trunk to ensure its stable, in preparation
for release early May
Travis:
+ chatted with mimi about sharing dialog implementation and design
issues, doing some reworking as a result
+ worked with jeffrey on windmill/ dojo build system-fu
+ today: finish reworking sharing dialog and integration into current
ui
Jeffrey
+ yesterday got windmill running
+ found issues after my change, fixed 'em
+ pretty much have a handle on how Jared's manager utility works now,
which is nice
+ now I need to make changes to most recent UI mockups
+ Also, it looks like metrics is off by an order of magnitude
+ figuring that out will probably mean understanding TSM *much*
better, I'm afraid
+ well, just hub activity, but that means understanding the whole
tool chain, which is long
+ my best guess is that Jared had some filtering mechanism that is
failing after the reboot but I really have no idea at this point. I
guess I can try looking at representative log files
+ to make sure there isn't actually an order of magnitude change
+ yeah that would be good
