Probably your best bet is to dig into the Dojo docs, in particular the
sections on Javascript programming with Dojo:

Unfortunately, we don't have many resources describing overall
architecture, so you'll need to dig into the code to get a deeper
understanding of most pieces. We're currently in the process of moving
a large amount of legacy code more closely in line with Dojo/Dijit
APIs which will help this situation in the long run. Please feel free
to jump in #cosmo on irc.freenode.net (http://freenode.net/using_the_network.shtml
) to ask questions.
What little information does exist on the web ui code can be found
