- figured out pop-to-now issue
- figured out a fix for timezone stuff (yay)
- key is to identify bad timezones by noting that they have 0 equiv
timezones, then we can find equiv timezone by using existing routine

- Bug 7612: Checked in hand cursor implementation (for Mac/Linux) on
the 0.7.7 branch. I can reproduce crashes with the original patch on
Ubuntu, so that's why I'm going with the (lamer) track-the-mouse-
ourselves implementation for Linux.
- Bug 8087: Sent email to chandler-dev@, investigating issues on Linux.
- Tried RobinD's suggestion for Bug 12228 (Mac spell checking), which
