Hi Folks, In preparation for a meeting today, Grant and I yesterday stopped and took stock of where we're at with rearchitecture and where we're going (see [1] for the transcript).
At this moment, I'm working on a bit of documentation spiffing up [2], and Grant's finishing up his work on dashboard entries. In the next few days I'll be working on firming up the model of collections and tags, Grant will work on Interaction Model infrastructure, documenting and creating base classes for Features and Scopes [3]. Once we're done with our immediate projects, we worked out what we see ourselves working on for the next block of time. Our goal is to work towards a Khala [4] milestone. Khala will cover, without UI, the bulk of the single-user behavior available in Chandler (i.e., not sharing). There will be no persistence, but data will be loadable/savable using EIM. Here are our SWAGs [5] for the remaining pieces to complete Khala: a. recurrence (domain model) SWAG: 10 days b. edit sessions SWAG: 2 days c. recurrence (interaction model) SWAG: 4 days d. eim import SWAG: 4 days e. eim export SWAG: 4 days f. collections/tags SWAG: 1 days g. IM for tables SWAG: 4 days h. IM for calendars SWAG: 4 days i. IM infrastructure SWAG: 5 days Total: 38 So, by about Thanksgiving we're hoping to have Khala finished. Assuming we're able to accomplish all this (and now, folks at home can keep score by seeing what tests we've written and added to [2]), we can take stock in late November and see whether we want to move on to sharing, wx UI, or persistence.
