FWIW To understand the point that we have reached with 1.0.2, I enjoyed reading historical <http://chandlerproject.org/Journal/ZeroPointOneEmail20060508> (highlighted: <http://www.diigo.com/annotated/8db01e3c89d0c25230aa74a807a3726e>).
An umpteenth review of the FAQ <http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/FAQ> was worthwhile, and I jotted notes as I read: <http://www.diigo.com/annotated/faf93764c6f6f5eb9a29268ad4b472de>. Then <http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/GetStarted> and more jotted notes <http://www.diigo.com/annotated/299edee35b186769d5c6e6a4eaaf7ec2>. Last but not least <http://chandlerproject.org/pub/Product/GetStartedGuide/2-ConfigureFolders.html> <http://www.diigo.com/annotated/e4332cb83002cc9387e0dd0152756672> — right now I can't recall whether that's the deprecated or the new work in progress version of a guide, but the thing I enjoy about that page is that it's fairly focused, well rounded and clarifies some points that I should have appreciated *before* getting stuck into Apple Mail + IMAP + Chandler Desktop. In the midst of my confusion about the contents of Chandler 'In' and 'Out' (see nearby thread), I don't know: * whether _all_ items copied, from an IMAP server, by Chandler Desktop are subsequently synced with Chandler Hub or * whether only items that I move from In or Out to collections are synced. More than anything, for me, it's the terribly crashy effect of <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12472> that prevented, continues to prevent me from reconciling with _confidence_ a) what has been, over the weeks, placed in Chandler-specific IMAP folders with b) what Chandler Desktop presents to me; if I'm not *very* careful, a single click on an affected message crashes the application. I'm not moaning ;) I do like both Desktop and Hub, I was just unlucky enough to hit this *obscure* e-mail-related crashing bug in the midst of 'learning through doing' exercises! More on my experiences to follow. In the meantime, if anyone can answer the either/or bulleted question above, I'll be most grateful.
