Re-ordering things a little,

Now whilst I do find issues with Chandler Desktop 1.0.2 for Mac OS X, the automated backup and recovery routines do seem to be very robust. Even in the most peculiar situations, I have not lost data. The expression 'Discard all my data and restore from a previous snapshot' is disconcerting. If the backup.chex file from your Chandler's most recent *normal* exit and backup is good (with all your good things within) then importing from that backup.chex (restoring from that snapshot) should have pleasing results. I had to resort to this eighth option only once, it was surprisingly pleasing. But as the dialogue says, it does take a few minutes :) The first point of reference when startup troubles occur should be <http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/TroubleshootChandler> but thanks to Mimi the other day we have already established that some of the eight startup options are insufficient. I should aim for the eighth.
