I posted a report about the big 27th-28th outage here: http://blog.chandlerproject.org/2009/04/29/osafchandler-outage-report- for-2009-04-28/
Questions welcomed. It's mostly a tale of inter-related problems and not knowing about status.isc.org. ISC could have been way timelier on responding to inquires or pushing information (like "we're shutting off your machines now" or "everything should be back up"), but if they keep status.isc.org up to date during outages, that'll be a big boon in the future. I also probably should have called them directly after 3-4 hours; I forgot I had the guy's number in my cell phone. Someone often asks if we should move services or whether OSAF servers can be trusted. My view is that moving would be premature and everyone needs to evaluate for themselves whether they trust their data on our servers. -- Jared _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list unsubscribe here: http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/chandler-users Chandler wiki: http://chandlerproject.org/wikihome
