Hi Frank,
There isn't a manual - the FAQ's and Getting started are all that there is.
Note that the Getting Started page has links to some further useful pages,
for instance the Icon Glossary. Feel free to ask about anything specific
that you want to know.

As you have noticed, Chandler is heavyweight, but the good news is that it
does not get much slower as data accumulates. It helps to periodically
compact the data (in the menu Debug - Repository - Compact); I do it weekly
and it does make a difference.

What kind of configuring were you wanting to do on the Dashboard ? Chandler
does not have any settable options at present, apart from the locale
settings which it picks up from the system settings.
