You can only view the calendar view when you've selected something other than Dashboard, In, Out, or Trash. Also, there is a picture next to each collection's name when in calendar view, which shows the collection's color. You can click this picture to tell Chandler to overlay the collection on your calendar view, or to hide it when its not selected.
