Hi Alistair, I love chandler too. It is one of the best programs that I have found to date to work with and still wish it was being supported. I have the issue of not being able to sync it with google calendar so that I can then use it on my smart phone. (Anyone solved this?)
Your problem - comes about due to you not clearing the items that you have done on the day or changing the date -- Chandler will always move TODAY'S TASKS to the top and then resort the others under it in the current section. You can do the following - press the date tab to sort by date - OR CLEAR THE ITEMS WITH THE DATE PAST or change their dates to future dates if you have not finished with them. Don't give up on chandler for just what you see - I have not found anything to compare - and i have been looking a very long time. It is a program that I would happily pay for if they could get the cloud syncing worked out.
