Please send the updated resume along with the details to *[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Richmond, VA,(preferred locals/Nearby),* *6 Months.* *Phone+In-person.* *Job Description:* - Design and maintain DB2 Database applications which have the following characteristics: - Design for high availability. - Design for maximum performance. - Maintain and develop techniques and procedures to provide 24x7 availability. - Provide production and test database support in a complex environment. - Perform all functions which are performed by a DB2 Database Administrator, such as: - SQL code reviews. - Performance Monitoring and Tuning DB2 at the application database level. - Enforce appropriate DB2 security standards. - Collaborate with the DB2 systems programming staff to appropriately manage DSNZPARM settings. - Create, manage and support DB2 Stored Procedures, DB2 Triggers, and DB2 Referential Integrity. - Create Change Requests, Resolve Service Requests, Provide 24x7 On call support. - Provide DB2 Connect configuration access support for individual users and distributed systems. - Coordinate with team members on technical decisions and directions. - Work with Management to develop project schedules. - Provide Database performance and tuning which typically involves collaboration between Data Center, Technical Operations, Database Design and Administration, and the various software development areas. - Responsible for the evaluation and creation of appropriate backup and recovery strategies for new database requirements. - Participate in Disaster Recovery planning. *Skill* *Required * *# Yrs Exp* DB2 experience Required 10 Excellent knowledge of DB2 z/OS Database Support Required 10 rz/OS DB2 V9 or greater in a production environment with high transaction rates Required 3 Data Modeling expertise – logical and physical design Required 10 DB2 V9 and V10 utilities setup and execution Required 3 DB2 performance and tuning Required 10 Complex SQL coding / tuning Required 10 DB2 attachments/interfaces include DRDA, DB2 Connect Required 5 DB2 tools skill set including/not limited to: IBM DB2 Admin Tool, DB2 Automation Tool, DB2 Explain, Query Monitor, File Mgr, Tivoli OMEGAMON Required 10 z/OS Mainframe skills: TSO and ISPF, JCL, DFSORT and /or ICETOOL, REXX, z/OS Utilities Required 10 Problem solving and analytical skills, Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and projects Required DB2 V9 or V10 Certification preferred Desired 3 IMS Database Utilities and Experience (IBM, BMC, NEON, etc.) Highly desired 10 ETL tools experience (InfoSphere, Informatica, etc.) Desired 5 Looking forward for your Reply! -- *Karthik IT-Recruiter* *[email protected] <[email protected]> I www.idexcel.com <http://www.idexcel.com/>* *Phone: (510)- 275- 0991l Fax: (703) 880-7584*<http://idexcel.com/index.jsp> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT_ Jobs" group.
