SCM Build Engineer/ Consultant / Release Engineer

1 Internal Release Implementation coordinator: The Release Implementation
Coordinator is accountable to the Release Manager and responsible for
coordinating across work efforts to strategize, plan, execute, and verify
the implementation of releases into the live environment.

*Responsibilities :*

Release Project Implementation Coordinator will coordinate Release
Implementation activities for all PS Projects.

Create Release-level Implementation Deliverables such as items listed here:

- Release IC Documentation

Manage the overall implementation activities for each release by working
with the Release Manager, Release Coordinator, Release Test Lead, Change
Coordinators and work effort Implementation Coordinators.

Provide consultation and direction to Implementation Coordinators within
the release for the following:

Implementation Deliverables (e.g. Implementation Plan, Communication Plan,
Release Acceptance Documents, Implementation Test Plan, etc.).

SMP (Service Management Processes) guidelines through use of HP Service
Management--Problem, Change, and Knowledge.

Installation of applications across platforms (Host, Web/Mid-Tier,
Websphere, Product Models, etc).

Tasks necessary to meet technical requirements for implementation (e.g. SWF
gate, WWF gate, IT Solution Certificate, etc.).

Quality Reviews of Implementation Deliverables.

Capture and communicate status information to Release, Change Advisory
Board (CAB), Area Leadership, and Business Partners during the
implementation phase of each Release.

Attend/Organize the following meetings:

Work effort/Solution Center Implementation Coordinator meetings
(Coordinated by Release ICs as needed)

Release Implementation Coordinator Meetings (Organize)

Implementation Test Facilitation Meetings (As needed)

Post Implementation Review (Attend and Provide Input)

Change Advisory Board (Attend and Provide Input)

Work Effort Release Acceptance (Attend and Provide Input)

Service Area Release Acceptance (Attend and Provide Input)

Problem and Incident Management Post Implementation Activities (as needed)
Broad technical knowledge including:

Understanding of the SFTA and distributed computing (tiers)

Understanding of project methodologies (e.g. SDM)

Understanding of Test Center and Production environments

ITIL Foundations education & training required

Practitioner Release and Control (v2) or ITIL Release, Control, and
Validation (v3) education & training required Organizational skills
including:

Experience coordinating implementations across multiple concurrent Product
Solutions projects

Ability to navigate the organization at various levels Soft skills:

Able to easily transition from big picture to detailed topics
