When people hear the words ?Quality Engineering?, they automatically think Code Reviews. There is much more to it than code and design reviews. The QE is someone responsible for setting best practices and standards within their respective area and across the enterprise. The guidance and standards is not only for code either, it involves design, build, deployment, test, and service versioning. QE will be an integral piece of Digital to enable better test automation, continuous deployment, and improved performance and availability. Digital has taken the approach to allocate a developer on a part-time rotation to review code. The consistency and dedication brought by a rotation schedule is not conducive to an efficient and effective team. I am requesting a dedicated approach of 2 to 3 additional people to add to QE (50% minimum to 100% allocation).
