Please go through the requirement and send me suitable profiles to *[email protected]* <[email protected]> or 484-427-2465 *Role: Build Release Engineer* *Location: San Ramon, CA* *Duration: 1 year* *Need 9+ years of experience on **Build Release Engineer* *Job Description:* *Responsibilities:* *• Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing and release management.* *• Manage release branches.* *• Build and sanity test release binaries (server-side).* *• Push new releases to production (server-side).* *• Maintain the build process to support ongoing R&D.* *• Support and improve our tools for continuous build, automated testing, and release management.* *• Design, implement and manage the build environment and tools for a growing software development team.* *• Drive a top quality development process while removing obstacles that impact efficiency.* *• Identify, implement and maintain branching models to support agreed-upon release requirements and schedules.* *• Own QA builds, pre-release activities, and all documentation associated with them.* *• Implement release deployment standards; troubleshoot and fix compilation or build automation issues.* *• Advocate for new and improved tools and processes to continuously improve our quality through build, branch and source control efficiency.* *• Work closely with QA, Product Management and Development teams to identify, prioritize, and drive issues to resolution quickly.* *• Improve the effectiveness of our build and release cycle through the development, tracking, and reporting of metrics.* *• Own, manage, and improve our release process with a focus on scale and efficiency.* *• Build and maintain tools needed during release pushes.* *• Automate repeatable tasks with scripting languages.* *Required Skills:* *• Expertise with a variety of build, release and management packages and processes such as Git, ANT, SVN, CVS, Clearcase, Hudson, Maven, Buildbot and Cruise Control.* *• Experience with build automation tools (Robot, Jenkins/Hudson, BuildBot, Parabuild, CruiseControl, Bamboo, Puppet).* *• Expert knowledge of build, release and configuration management practices, including branch-based development and patch-oriented work flows.* *• Passionate about staying current on trends and best practices in build and release management.* *• Experience with scripting and automation skills including shell and one or more of Perl, Python, bash, Ruby, PHP, or a similar language.* *• Working knowledge of high level software development facilities/utilities: source code management, bug tracking, virtual machine environments.* *• Very Strong Experience with C, C++ and Java development projects.* *• Team player, strong commitment to customer service, tenacious problem solver.* *• Strong written and verbal communication skills.* *• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a build, release and tools role.* *• BS in CS or CE or equivalent experience.* *• Team player and tenacious problem solver with a strong commitment to customer service.* *• Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Looking forward to work with you.
