This role will involve working closely with the subject matter experts and the thermal performance engineers to code and resolve issues. These products include the design and development of new advanced algorithms and software technologies that will redefine how the world generates power. Responsibilities In this role, you will: • Work closely with agile software teams of 5-9 developers. • Refactor/correct/develop the Heat Balance Engine in Fortran 90 • Innovate new technologies that improve thermal performance software and optimization. • Develop test cases that verify and validate customer value is delivered. • Drive world-class quality in the software products developed by the team. • Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities • Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables • Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge Qualifications / Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in software development) • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing software • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing software in an agile or extreme programming environment Eligibility Requirements: • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
