Job Description: Responsibilities Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity. Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact. Assist more experienced system development/support personnel in developing solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems. Application problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions. Candidate will be on call 4-5 times a year as the facility is on call 7 days a week from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Typical Day Providing support to facilities to help them resolve issues. Working on small change requests and a few larger ones as well. Technical Skills Up-to-date knowledge of related infrastructure components and/or operating environment. Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Proficiency in COBOL, SQL, DB2, CICS, TSO, and JCL. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required. 2 or more years’ experience required. Soft Skills Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
