BWC needs to upgrade to DB2 Version 11and z/OS 2.2. The Lead for these
efforts is on disability with no estimated return date at this time. They
are seeking a person that can LEAD these projects for the DB2 related tasks
that need to be completed. This position is budgeted for 680 hours and will
be needed until the projects are completed.

This person will need to be capable of performing as a DB2 System person
skilled in migration and tuning of DB2 and the use of DB2 3rd party tools.

*Job Description:*



The selected Consultants will work closely with the designated I.T.
supervisor, project managers and other developers in an agile development
environment.  The work scope of the consultant will include requirements
gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment
and technical support.

The Consultants, in working with ODPS staff, will be responsible for
rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, MVC, WCF,
SQL Server and other technologies.

The new applications will implement a N-tiered architecture and comply with
ODPS coding standards.



*Mandatory skills:*

1.  5 years of verifiable experience as a Senior .Net Web Developer
developing ASP.NET MVC applications at least 4 years

2.  5 years of verifiable ASP.NET experience developing with the C – Sharp
(C#) language.

3.  5 years of verifiable experience with SQL Server Database Design and
development including optimization of queries, creating tables, views,
stored procedures, and functions.

4.  2 years of application experience developing applications using Entity
Framework (EF) 4.0 or later.

5. 2 years of experience developing a project within the AGILE methodology.


6.  2 years of verifiable experience developing web applications utilizing
the 4.0 .Net Framework or higher.

7.  2 year of verifiable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience
developing and securing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

8.  1 year experience or a demonstrable understanding of N-tier
environments as it relates to development and deployment.

9.  1 year experience or a demonstrable understanding of code repository
strategies, code promotion strategies and recovery using Team Foundation
Server.

10.  2 years of verifiable experience implementing Asynchronous JavaScript
and XML (AJAX) enabled controls within Active Server Pages (ASP).Net Web
applications.

11.  1 year of verifiable experience developing reports in SQL Server
Reporting Services (SSRS) and making them accessible within an MVC web

• Previous experience as an Oracle 12c RAC on AIX environment system DBA

• Experience acting as the lead researcher for the install, upgrade, patch
and maintenance all for 12c oracle cluster/database software

• Level 1 support for oracle 12c production databases, including but
limited to:

Database/system down, system recovery, data recovery, storage, system
alerts, core dumps

Along with day to day maintenance and prevention (ensure availability)

• Tuning all Oracle instance components including memory and CPU allocation

• Implementing oracle encryption (TDE)

• Composing system/database Unix shell scripts

• Utilizing OEM Cloud Control 12c (In depth knowledge)

• Establishing system monitoring guidelines and procedure

• Writing DBA procedures and standards

• Mentoring

• TSM and TWS is helpful but not required



This is not an application DBA position but may have some ETL.  ETL
experience is not required.
