Hi all Job Title : Senior Web Services Developer Location: Columbus, GA Duration : 6+ Months Contract
Job Summary Designs, develops, integrates and maintains code to support the next generation architecture through the adherence of standards, processes, and procedures throughout the system/software development life cycle (SDLC). The developer will work closely with internal and external clients, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements to implement a scalable, secure, and high-performing, service-oriented platform. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Proven ability to architect and design service oriented solutions using RESTful web services with an understanding of service-oriented architectures Work closely with Enterprise Data Architects, Portfolio Architects and Solution Architects to architect the service platform aligned with Aflac’s Applications business strategy Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to interpret feature requests and develop services in and iterative design/build/test cycles using an Agile development principles and practices Design, build and test software components from the approved project’s open-source framework, utilizing Javascript, MongoDB, RESTful web services, MuleSoft, Java Spring MVC and Oracle in an enterprise hardened environment Regularly check code into Aflac’s approved continuous integration pipeline based on Gradle, Git and Jenkins to incrementally build our overall system and get immediate feedback on build performance Develop and expand unit and integration tests which will be automatically run by the build pipeline for developer feedback using JUnit and other tools like Geb, Spock and Selenium Assists in resolving production support problems and develops/suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems Mentors junior member on the team Enforce standards and best practices Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in programming/systems or computer science and at least six or more years of developing and implementing software solutions (java) experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Knowledge & Skills Experience integrating with mainframe as host and deploying services in IBM WebSphere on zOS and Windows Experience with utilizing Team Foundation Server (TFS) for central repository version control and shared code collaboration center Experience with Object Oriented design and principles i.e. SOLID utilizing various design patterns Understanding around the benefits of adaptive development Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing Agile environment Must have knowledge and understand fundamental concepts of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD), Automated Testing (GUI and backend), User Acceptance Testing Proven ability to architect and design service oriented solutions using RESTful web services with an understanding of service-oriented architectures Experience/ awareness around developing in a containerized environment utilizing tools like Docker, etc. Strong written and communication skills Thanks & Regards Ranjith Ph:(925) 973-0000 x 232(Off) Email: ranj...@allianceit.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT_ Jobs" group.
