DODD operates a significant enterprise suite of applications. Included
within this suite are Medicaid related applications and applications
supporting health, safety and welfare of DODD consumers. Many of these
applications support processes based on ORC statute and Administrative
rules as well. In order to have a strong enterprise application suite DODD
maintains a Microsoft SQL server environment. This environment supports
both the noted applications and associated reporting. In order to
maintain a robust database infrastructure DODD continues to optimize
existing data structures and provide a framework for migration of data
across transactional reporting environments to data warehouse
environments. Current ETL work is focused on supporting development of a
hub and spoke DW environment to support the DW pilot project within the
county boards. This project allows counties better access to key data and
maintains health and safety for consumers. DODD is proposing to retain key
modeling, and enterprise transformation experts in order to complete the
initiative.
The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical development or
execution environment product or set of products. The primary
responsibility of a Product Specialist is to ensure the availability and
facilitate the productive use of a product for Application Teams or end
users. The DODD Product Specialist for this engagement will be well
versed in COGNOS and standard ETL tools processes and databases associated
with BI/DW
DODD is currently seeking a senior level person with complete and
demonstrable understanding of data warehousing concepts. Additionally, the
candidate should possess a strong knowledge of ETL processes including a
complete functional understanding with hands on experience using Microsoft
SSIS packages for the migration of data between OLTP, staging and OLAP
environments. This understanding would include hands on experience in
control and data flow with SSIS. The candidate will also possess fluency
in normalization of table structures and have demonstrated modeling
experience with hub and spoke architectures. The candidate will be part
of the DODD BI DW team working on support and continued enhancements of the
aforementioned project.
1. 5 years of supporting ETL in a production environment
a. Understands and can independently setup/configure SISS packages to
run in production
2. 4 years of senior level SSIS experience
a. Knows control flow and data flow items and can demonstrate usage of
each
3. 4 years Senior level SQL skills that include database development
activities
4. 5 years of data modeling experience (hub and spoke, dimensional, data
vault)
5. Has a complete understanding of database normalization and can fluently
speak about the various normal forms (1st – 6th)
3 years of experience developing or supporting a hub and spoke database
architecture, this person must have a complete and demonstrable
understanding
3 years’ experience with COGNOS

Mandatory:
- 5+ years of Kronos experience including Workforce Central
(WFC) time management software implementation and/or application support

Role Description
- Work in collaboration with the OAKS Managed Services
Providers (MSP), key internal IT and Security organizations, and other
critical stakeholders to maintain the Kronos Workforce Central application
- Responsible for identifying and troubleshooting production
issues and problems in the Kronos Workforce Central application
- Consult on application aspects of break/fix approaches and
planned enhancements
- Bring research and recommendations to the OAKS team to
continually improve the current Kronos Workforce Central application
- Work to understand customer issues and communicate these
issues to various stakeholders
- Maintain the Kronos Workforce Central Operation Processes
- Proactively identify and implement service improvements in
operational delivery processes
- Analyze and Diagnose incidents and events related to the
Kronos Workforce Central application in the Production Environment
- Conduct cause analysis for incidents and events affecting
Kronos Workforce Central documentation
- Document results of analysis in Event / Incident Management
database
- Help drive Kronos Workforce Central performance improvements
- Assist in validating Kronos Workforce Central contract
performance
- Customize Kronos software to meet the State’s needs
- Program SQL based queries and views to develop interfaces
and customized reports
- Provide program specific training and follow-up support for
new agencies
- Develop documentation for the configuration of the software
based on discovery and union contracts
- Lead discovery workshops with agencies to determine goals
objectives, and procedures to ensure successful implementation of time
management software
