Job Description: Design and development of test plans for specific programs. Perform repeatable testing procedures and processes. Verification of triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, and hardware product or system specifications. Interpretation and modification of code as required including batch files, make files, Perl scripts, queries, stored procedures and/or triggers. Project scope may include writing automation test scripts for simulating user interactions such as data entry, menu selections, mouse actions, data I/O, etc. Application level configuration skills. Qualifications: ۰1-2 year software testing experience in a Windows client/server environment. ۰Experience in development and/or database administration experience using a 6mths -1 year software testing experience in a Windows client/server environment. ۰Experience in development and/or database administration experience using a Microsoft product. ۰Experience with batch files and command-line Windows utilities may be needed. ۰Some knowledge of software quality assurance practices. ۰Ability to read logical and physical data model diagrams. Ability to read and write C/C++ required. ۰Database programming experience i.e. SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, Informix and/or DB2 may be needed. ۰Knowledge of Visual Basic, MFC, OLE, Internet tools, NT, compiler preprocessor. ۰Knowledge of personal computer hardware may be needed. ۰Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technical Certifications. As our product line grows, we are in need of strong test talents in FW/SW performance testing and logic procedures to capture our increasing, customer-focused validations. Responsibilities: The candidate will work within a group to execute test and validation plans to ensure that products and software are up to performance standards and meet release criteria. Execute manual and automated test cases and report on the test results. The candidate will install OS, Drivers, BIOS, FW, and manipulate system configurations and settings. The candidate will aid in resolving system bugs including identification, debug, fix, and documentation within Microsoft’s debug tracking system. The candidate will work on setting up server/rack solutions for mass testing of performance and update testing A successful candidate is a strong tester with: Experience in software testing, including UI, manual, and automation testing Good problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills Experience with software testing tools, and platforms and services Strong customer focus Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms, and to develop and follow test documentation such as plans, procedures and reports.
