*Job Description -*
The primary responsibility of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to
support the business in all their information and data needs and provide a
clear mechanism for self-service reporting. This role is also responsible
for administration of the tools and technologies related to Business
Intelligence from a platform and solution perspective. The right candidate
will factor in operational simplicity, resiliency, and efficiency into
their recommendations. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be a “hands
on” technologist – being able to both outline the architecture and build
data solutions.
Design and architect information solutions
- Strong skills in SQL and data modeling
- Must be a creative thinker and self-starter, able to identify
solutions and quickly prototype proof of concept. Expected to quickly
understand and embrace new technologies
- Build logical data models for data warehouse and/or data models in
tools like ERWin
- Design and architect data solutions with Business intelligence and
reporting in mind
- Architect DW/data-marts with industry best practices
- Technology expert in information domain including Business Objects and
SAP BW
Architect Information Systems and data delivery processes
- Build strong knowledge of business data flow and data distribution
- Develop logical data flow maps required for business analytics
- Streamline user self-service in an easy to use contextual manner
supported by documentation
- Understand business data needs and convert to technical specifications
- In-depth understanding of all data platforms from data modeling,
performance tuning, reporting and data extracting.
- Ability to recommend Business Value Drivers and KPIs needed by various
business units for strategic, operational and predictive use cases
- Design and architect system integration process needed for business
analytics
- Define optimum joins between tables based on the functional requirement
Design data models and data architecture
- Strong knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects
- Hands on experience Central Management Console, LaunchPad
- Experience in user security and credentua
- Experience in replication, data warehouse and scalability -
Disaster Recovery
- Experience to setup database alerts, maintenance plans and scripts
- Strong knowledge of SAP BW
- Perform unit testing of ETLs and related components and document
test results.
- Experience with reading and loading high-volume Type 2 dimensions
(Slowly Changing Dimensions) in Multi-Dimensional Datamarts
(Star Schema)
- Create Unit Test Documentation (Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test
Results)
- Experience working as a hands-on MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014
Database Administrator
- Determine and recommend enhancements to the BIDW for performance
improvement
Develop & Test BI Solutions
- Experience with the best of breed traditional enterprise Business
Intelligence tools such as
- BusinessObjects
- SAP BW
- Power BI
- Experience with best of breed high performance analytics tools such
as:
- SAS
- KNIME
- Cloudera Analytics
- Rapidminer
- Experience with statistical programming languages:
- R
- Python
- Pig
- Experience with ETL tools such as:
- Flume
- Informatica PowerCenter
- MS Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience with best in breed analytics platforms such as:
- MS Analytics Platform (APS)
- Hadoop (Hive and HBase)
- Windows AZURE platform
- SAP HANA
- Experience with Data Visualization tools such as:
- Tableau
- Qlikview
- SAP Lumira
- TIBCO Spotfire
Effective Business process translation and knowledge.
- Managing the demand for new solutions against employee capacity.
- Assure initiation, monitoring and maintenance of systems and policies
necessary to safeguard the physical, financial and human capital of the
organization and customers.
- Manages IT Database and BI assets (data) and software (licenses, etc.)
ensuring currency and compliance.
*Basic Qualifications -*
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, Computer
Science, Statistics or equivalent work experience. Complimentary bachelor's
degree in engineering or quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics).
6 years, Senior Data Architect level role in Analytics, Business
Intelligence or Data Warehouse Management
Preferred
Master in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Analytics or equivalent
3 years, Architect level role in Database Administration
3 years, Engineer/Analyst level role in Analytics, Business Intelligence or
Data Warehouse Management, ETL
