Need candidate with 8-10 years who is at manager level
Senior QA Manager:
• Position Details:
o Duration: 3-6 month C2H
o Location: Davidson, NC or Melville, NY
o Reason for opening: Need to replace the current Senior QA
Manager who cannot convert to a full-time employee
o Position details:
Seasoned, senior QA professional; strong QA background
Ability to manage larger-scale projects, in addition to, on and
offshore resources
Ability to review requirements and document them correctly
Meet with internal stakeholders, relay information to QA team,
make a plan, and report back to internal stakeholders
Mostly manual testing, some automated
Required tools: HP Quality Center, SQL, Excel
AS/400 system and SAP background are bonuses
• Start Date: 1/3/17
• Interview Process:
o RR, PS, F2F
o Resume Review Call: 12/6 @ 9 AM

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provides leadership and direction regarding testing tools and testing
best practices for multiple teams.
- Provides a high level interface between the IS Applications
Development team and functional groups.
- Responsible for overseeing that the test plan and test lab set-up,
importing of requirements and requirements traceability, test case creation
review and test lab execution processes and status, and defect reporting
processes and status are being followed as per standards.
- Assesses problems and solutions from a business perspective with a
focus on what the customer really needs.
- Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an
internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical
partners.
- Ensures that applications and systems are in compliance with
established quality standards and meeting the business requirements
- Champions the application of quality principles in IT processes
through training, meeting and team facilitation, communication programs,
and team building activities
- Monitors and reports on defects. Track and drive defect improvements.
- Acts as a project leader and a subject matter expert on multiple and
complex QA related projects.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, leadership, and oversight for QA
resources (both onshore and offshore) and non-QA colleagues engaged in
quality assurance activities
- Review and document performance of associates.
- Provide recommendations and consulting on methodologies and approaches
to improve overall product quality
- Interface with IT Development and IT Operations Support teams to get
necessary data to improve product quality and supportability
- Manage the refresh of the data within multiple environments
- Acts as the point person for status reporting and executive dashboard
- Take a leadership role in developing and improving Project Life Cycle
and Software Development Life Cycle
- Actively participates in cross-functional team/task forces working
closely with the user community applying an IS/Business perspective to
identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Confirms test execution using manual procedures, testing tools, and
database queries are being completed as per Quality Standards
- Interfaces with developers and business analyst to resolve software
defects.
- Responsible for managing the development and execution of formal test
plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
- Reports on software quality metrics. Defines and tracks quality
assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test
status
- Involved in testing, planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test
execution as needed
- Effectively communicates plans and results to the functional business
areas, IT development teams, and management
- Addresses daily support issues with urgency and ensure that
resolutions are meant to solve the root of the problem
