CSE 590 F Wednesday, March 11, 4 pm, CSE 403. Steve Wagner will speak on on-going work on developing an electronic medical record system for Haiti.
Implementing a PEPFAR-funded EMR in Haiti: iSant? Bill Lober's CIRG (Clinical Informatics Research Group) has been building and implementing an EMR (iSant?) for use with HIV+ patients in Haiti since the spring of 2005. Steve Wagner will discuss the environment, architecture, features, and history of the project to date. He recently traveled to Haiti, where he installed the EMR in four clinics; he has the pictures and a video to prove it! Steve Wagner has 20+ years of experience in database and content management. At one point he consulted with most of the top 10 drug companies in the world regarding a "systems approach" to getting their drugs approved by the FDA as much as six months sooner. He completed the UW program in Health Information Administration in 2004 and joined CIRG in 2005. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
