The Technology and Infrastructure for Emerging Regions (TIER) Research Group is hosting a two-day workshop, at which TIER students and invited guests will present research at UC Berkeley related to information and communications technology in developing regions. With many of our students graduating this year, we'll also use this opportunity to look back at our last 5 years of experiences, talk about what we've learned, and discuss our collective vision for the future of ICTD research within TIER, at UC Berkeley, and at large. This will be a multi-format workshop, with 10-15 minute research talks, demonstrations, and discussion panels. We are honored to have Prof. Tim Unwin, Professor of Geography and UNESCO Chair in ICT4D at the University of London, serve as our keynote speaker.
