OpenMRS? is a community-developed, open-source, enterprise electronic
medical record system platform. The community has come together to
specifically respond to those actively building and managing health
systems in the developing world, where AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria
afflict the lives of millions. OpenMRS fosters self-sustaining health
information technology implementations in these environments through
peer mentorship, proactive collaboration, and a code base that equals
or surpasses proprietary equivalents.

This position will focus on developing and maintaining a public health
Notifiable Condition Detector (NCD). The NCD is implemented as an
OpenMRS module that identifies public health reportable conditions in
healthcare transactions. The resource will work closely with
Investigators, Project Managers, and public health stakeholders.
He/she will also be responsible for testing and documenting the
changes implemented.
