Rochester student at Yale wins award for computer game

NEW HAVEN, Conn. ? Henry Corrigan-Gibbs and Chris Riederer know that a
computer game can't end world hunger, eradicate malaria or reduce
child mortality.

But the game the two 2010 Yale graduates created to bring attention to
these issues did win first place at the U.S. Imagine Cup, which took
place April 23-26 in Washington, D.C.

Riederer is a 2006 graduate of Lourdes High School in Rochester.

The Imagine Cup is a student software competition sponsored by
Microsoft Corp. that encourages participants to use technology to
improve the lives of people locally and across the globe. Now in its
eighth year, the competition included entries from 14,000 students.
