Prof Chaudhri and Change Group at large,

VillageReach has an initiative to bring last mile information systems to
public health called openLMIS. We've released vrMIS under our openLMIS.org
(eclipse open source license)

We'd be interested if some students would like to take up a VR related
business model for spreading openLMIS globally and building a product and
services company as a part of VR or a separate venture. I've been a judge
and mentor for previous GSEC competitions and am familiar with the format.

I realize that time is short, so I think the best thing is if there is a
student or student group already formed that would be interested in
formulating the application for next week (nov 4th) deadline to please
contact me. To be clear, I'm offering to facilitate but not lead that
effort - it needs to come from the students and be aligned with their
interests. I can make introductions and can provide the starter dough for
the business concept.

The openLMIS.org website has some good information about the value
proposition, however to fill this out more - there is a need (similar to the
need for electronic medical records) to strengthen the delivery of supplies
and the logistics supply chain overall.

Any takers?

- James
