This Thursday at Change we will be hosting a talk by Adam Taylor of Global
to
Local<http://www.swedish.org/About/Overview/Mission---Outreach/Global-to-Local>,
who will be discussing his work on improving health care in Washington
state.

*Global to Local is a project based in SeaTac and Tukwila, WA, that is
working to understand if global health approaches that have proven effective
overseas could also meet the needs of underserved communities here in our
own backyard. Adam Taylor, G2L Project Manager will talk about how the
project came to be, the opportunities and challenges associated with
adapting developing world strategies to the context of the developed world,
and where the project is currently focusing its efforts. There will also be
a discussion on how UW students are supporting the project to understand how
mobile phones can address some of the barriers that the communities face.*
