This Thursday at Change we will be hosting a talk by Jan Flowers of I-TECH<http://www.go2itech.org/>. I-TECH, or the The International Training and Education Center for Health, is a center in the University of Washington?s Department of Global Health that has 10 offices and some 600 worldwide staff in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States who work with partner organizations to support the development of health work forces and health delivery systems. Jan will be speaking about some of her group?s recent work relating to the interoperability of health information management systems in developing countries. In many under-resourced health systems, facility staff enter data into multiple siloed information systems that do not communicate well. One way to address this issue is through the development of unified standards for health system architecture designs. Jan will discuss I-TECH?s current efforts in this area, and will lead a discussion around ways to improve interoperability in low-resource health systems.
Please join us for sandwiches, and to learn more about I-TECH?s work on interoperability for heath information systems! *What:* Jan Flowers of I-TECH on Interoperability for Health Information Systems *When:* Thursday, May 19th at noon *Where:* Paul Allen Center, Room 203 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
