This Thursday at Change we will be hosting a discussion about cancer care in
resource-poor environments, led by Change members Rita Sodt, Nick Garrett,
and Michael Ratanapintha. They will be joined by Addie Boone, who works with
Rita in the Swanson Lab <http://depts.washington.edu/krslab/> in the UW
Pathology department. Addie recently traveled to Uganda to study cancer
care, and will be sharing highlights of a recent talk she gave entitled
?Contextualizing Cancer Care Delivery in a Resource Poor Setting: A Provider
Ethnography?. Addie will also be sharing some of her previous experience in
medical device design and how that translates to new innovations and
approaches to global health technology development.
