Hi everybody -- MeraDoctor in India is seeking 2-3 Startup Fellows to help with its expansion in a handful of states in India. About MeraDoctor: MeraDoctor offers consultations with MBBS doctors by phone for rural families in Maharashtra, UP and other states. Most rural communities lack timely, high-quality healthcare advice -- leading to poor healthcare decisions, worsening conditions and high costs. Instead MeraDoctor puts trained, licensed physicians on the phone, where they offer immediate and reliable advice on a wide range of ailments. Family subscriptions cost Rs 100-150 for 3 months (unlimited consults for <6 members), and are available via select retail outlets, common service centers (CSCs) and microfinance partners. MeraDoctor was founded by public health, microfinance and mobile services experts in early 2011 and is funded by leading Indian investors. About Startup Fellows: We're looking for people who get excited about taking a simple, low-cost healthcare service to large scale by doing hard work on product design, distribution and maintaining service quality. Although we launched in April 2011, we already have paid subscribers across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and other states. Among other things, we need help for new distribution kicking off in Maharashtra, Bihar, and Gujarat. Startup Fellows would split time between Mumbai HQ and the mostly rural parts of these states. Roles can vary. Some Fellows will take responsibility for entire distribution partnerships. This includes designing a product package and scope, negotiating commercial arrangements, overseeing initial deployment and tracking performance. Others may leverage a technical skill to architect breakthrough features for the MeraDoctor product. Startup Fellows are people who seek a fast-paced, startup experience and are excited about mobile and health-related opportunities for India's mass market. If you prefer working independently or in small teams, prefer operational problems to policy questions, and dive into the details to 'sniff out' what's working or not, then you're probably a great candidate. We offer a basic salary to cover living costs. What we ask is a 12-month commitment, and that you 'stretch' and take on us as much responsibility as you can manage. Your ability to execute and innovate ' not direction from us ' will determine your upside. If interested, please send a CV and cover note to info at mhealthventures.in. Thanks Gautam
