IHME is an independent global health research center at the University of Washington that provides rigorous and comparable measurement of the world's most important health problems.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to create innovative and engaging ways to visually explore and interact with our research results. Visualizations will be used to present data on IHME's website and in mobile applications, for presentations and events, as well as internally for exploration and validation of preliminary and final analysis results. The Data Scientist will be responsible for design, development, testing, and user support of visualizations; he or she will combine a deep understanding of audience needs with substantial knowledge of innovative ways to visualize data and making data interactive. You should be passionate about how to make data useful, engaging and fun. The Data Scientist will report to the Director of Data Development.
