The World Affairs Council, in partnership with the University of
Washington’s Burke Museum, presents a conversation on agricultural
innovations in Africa with Calestous Juma, a professor and the
Director of the Science, Technology, and Globalization Project at
Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Dr. Juma will
discuss the opportunities that Africa has to transform its agriculture
into a force for economic growth. Reception attendees will have the
opportunity to see the Burke Museum’s Hungry Planet: What the World
Eats exhibit before joining in the discussion, where they can ask
their own questions of Dr. Juma.
