Towards Open Architectures for Web and Mobile Software Technologies

Bio: Bahtijar Vogel is a PhD candidate in Computer Science, School of
Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics, at Linnaeus University (LNU) in
Sweden. He holds a Master Degree in Computer Science from Växjö University
(Sweden) and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from South East European
University (Macedonia). He has also worked in the software industry in
Kosovo as an engineer and software developer for a couple of years.

Abstract: In this talk Bahtijar will present his current research within
the area of Mobile and Web technologies. Especially he will present his
ongoing work Towards Open Architectures for supporting data collection,
visualization and collaboration using web and mobile technologies. The
prototype experiments were conducted as part of the Learning Ecology
through Science with Global Outcomes (LETS GO) research project. The aim of
the project was to design challenging collaborative learning activities by
utilizing mobile, sensor and visualization technologies for supporting
environmental science learning. The project has been carried out in
collaboration with Stanford University, National Geographic Society and
schools in Sweden and USA.
