Company overview:
Biometrac designs and deploys a suite of mobile, technical solutions
with an emphasis on addressing priority global health and development
issues. We work with researchers and enterprises to provide
identification and data management solutions in challenging
environments.

Job overview:
The position reports directly to the Technical Director and will be
involved in full stack development, documentation and maintenance. No
two weeks will be the same.

Our Stack
- CouchDB, SQlite, Pyramid, tons of Python behind Nginx on Linux
- JS, HTML, CSS for web clients and native Android for our mobile platform.

Qualifications
 - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical field.
- 2+ years work experience or similar documented commitment to a FOSS project
- Mastery of your preferred programming language.

Job duties
- Work with clients to define specifications and translate them into
detailed project plans
- Report progress to internal project team and clients in a timely and
effective manner
- Provide actionable suggestion for product and process improvements
- Shepard bugs from vague customer reports to squashed
- Plan before you code, write smart tests and by George, document it

Essential attributes
- Interest and passion for emerging technologies and countries
- Comfort working in loosely structured environment
- Strong verbal and written skills including experience presenting to
customers, reports and technical documentation
- Flexible and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines

Bonus Points
- Experience in biometrics
- Data visualization or GIS experience, especially D3.js and OpenStreetMap
- Deep love and understanding of Python
