They are looking expand their business into Digital/Social Media and need someone who can come and head the team. Aggrey & Clifford has a presence in Uganda and Kenya as well and is planning to enter the rest of East Africa. This is an opportunity to build a digital marketing team from scratch with the support of an already thriving traditional media agency in a market that has so much potential in new media. They are looking for someone with at least two years of work experience in a digital marketing agency, with app/web programming skills, social/web analytics, content management, and with an entrepreneurial streak. You will have opportunities to work with multinational brands such as Coca-Cola, Barclays Bank, as well as local companies. Starting time can be negotiated. *Responsibilities:* - Build and lead a digital/social media team for Aggrey & Clifford (A&C) - Develop a clear, region-appropriate vision for A&C’s efforts in the digital and social media space - Provide senior level strategic planning and counsel to A&C’s account teams and clients - Participate and lead in A&C pitches for new clients - Develop digital content management strategy for A&C - Develop and monetize new social media service offerings - Stay on top of current regional and global trends/applications in the digital and social media - Directly manage the social media team by providing ongoing feedback and evaluation in addition to the development of individual professional development plans - Ensure consistency and quality of service for A&C’s clients - Oversee the development of A&C’s digital and social media budgets and service levels - Develop new processes and platforms to facilitate client work and provide new efficiencies for current practices - Develop the plan to guide A&C’s strategy and marketing efforts in the digital and social media space *Desired Skills:* - 2+ years in the digital and social media space - Agency experience is important - Web/app programming skills - Thorough knowledge and understanding of the digital and social media space - Deep relationships with teams at social media platforms (i.e., Facebook and Twitter) - Team management -- proven ability to empower and mobilize teams to meet/exceed client expectations and to deliver against the program objectives
