Subject: Medical Informatics positions at Partners In Health
To: Ellen Ball <[email protected]>

Hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to our fellow
compatriots in the OpenMRS/global health community in hopes that
someone can recommend candidates for the Medical Informatics (MI) team
at Partners In Health. With Evan's departure in August, the team
structure has changed. His position has transformed to the Associate
Director of Medical Informatics, reporting to Lisa Hirshhorn, Director
of Monitoring Evaluation & Quality (MEQ) and MI. Thanks in advance
for looking through the positions below, and please feel free to
spread the word. These jobs are described in greater detail:
http://www.pih.org/pages/employment

Associate Director, Medical Informatics – Boston
A strong background in project management and a systems thinker who
can identify healthcare challenges and apply appropriate technological
solutions. This position will include both administrative and
management responsibilities and systems analysis to support the
development work of the Medical Informatics team. This person will
need to have the ability to analyze country medical informatics needs
and current systems and then work with the medical informatics team
and stakeholders to develop and implement solutions. Previous
experience in EMR implementation in resource poor settings would be a
great advantage.

Business Analyst, Medical Informatics – Boston
Facilitate the design of cohesive, integrated software applications by
PIH’s Medical Informatics team. Working with a range of staff at PIH
sites (primarily Haiti in the next year), he or she will consolidate
functional requirements and work with the software development team to
ensure that systems deliver the right functionality to the right user
at the right time.

Medical Informatics Manager, University Hospital (UH) of Mirebalais – Haiti
Analytical lead on the implementation of electronic Health Information
Systems (HIS) including EMRs (particularly OpenMRS), supply chain
management, and lab systems. He or she will be the main point of
contact between UH and the Boston-based Informatics team, as well as
third-party software vendors.

Regards,

Ellen
