Several months ago a group of entrepreneurs and technologists working out
of Impact Hub in Pioneer Square started talking to Seattle non-profits
about what the tech community could do to address poverty and homelessness
in our community. We had all seen the growing acrimony in San Francisco and
wanted Seattle to set an example for how the tech community can be a
constructive force in civic issues.

The result is a weekend long hackathon, Hack to End
Homelessness<http://www.hacktoendhomelessness.com/>.
We have a long list of service providers and advocacy groups on board, each
of which is looking for talented people to work with them over the weekend
on urgent technology needs. Beyond just building cool apps, the goal is to
strengthen ties between the tech community and the non-profit world.

Please see the announcement below for details. Plus, the first 10 people to
register using the code 'SEATTLETECH' will get 50% off the ticket price!

Thanks,
