###
Please take a moment to briefly respond to 13 questions about data skills needs
of researchers in the social sciences at UW:
https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/bmarwick/238867

We're planning to run a Software Carpentry data bootcamp at UW in the coming
fall quarter. The data carpentry bootcamp is specifically focused on tools and
practices for more productively managing and manipulating data. 'We' are Ben
Marwick (UW Anthropology), Greg Wilson (Software Carpentry/Mozilla Science Lab)
and Bill Howe (UW eScience Institute).

The purpose of this survey is to identify the computing and data skills and
tools that researchers in the social sciences and humanities at UW are
interested in learning. With this information we can tailor the content of the
bootcamp to maximize its effectiveness, and consider the possibility of regular
offerings of bootcamps like this.

More details about background and motivation are at the survey page here:
https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/bmarwick/238867

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments.

thanks,

Ben
