http://fab-corp.com/ is where i bought the last batch of goodies from.  i looked, and n-connectors (and mounts, etc.) are still mad expensive from there... i think they're just expensive wherever you look.

here's the link for the yagis we used at the airport:  http://fab-corp.com/M1.htm

We usually order our N-connectors from an online vendor.  There's one place in town (Radio Sales and Service) but it's a lot more expensive from them.  I can't remember the name of the place online we usually use... I'll ask the guys in irc tomorrow.

As far as directionals, we tested all of those we built... we setup a point-to-point across rooftops about 1KM apart.  The satellite dish worked best.  It was more of a learning experience, finding out just how cheap we could do it.  In practice we'll usually use a yagi, or in the case of the airport, a dual-yagi (creatively named "the vagi" by the vendor... hah.)  I think I have that one linked from the site.

Glad you looked us up!  Talk to you later!

Saw the SSID when driving over the bridge. Looked you guys up. Awesome
thing you have going here.

Does anyone happen to know of any local source that carries N type
chassis mounts and other assorted connectors? Radio shack has a catalog
they keep in store, but they charge way too much.

How well does the direct tv dish perform? Have you put it to use?

Of all the DIY directional antennas, which performs the best?
