Below is the release schedule with some more detail.

Tue Sep-09 - Feature Freeze
Tue Sep-16 - Code Freeze
Fri Sep-19 - Documentation Freeze
Thu Oct-02 - Open Source Release

"Feature Freeze" will include all major features, language changes,
significant refactors, etc. "Code Freeze" will include any remaining bug
fixes, changes to test/release/examples/, and it is expected that the
source code will not change after that date for release (typically we cut
a release branch at this time). "Documentation Freeze" will include any
remaining spec, README, man page, etc updates. That leaves just under two
weeks before the release date for testing and fleshing out any final
issues.
