To provide a bit more context: I find the ability to split string literals across lines in C (by closing the string and re-opening it on the next line) to be a really valuable feature and created this issue to propose that we do the same for Chapel a few days ago.
That said, I didn't want Saurabh to dive into it only to find that it didn't have broad support across the team. So if you want to support or push back against the feature, please see the issue.
