I have been told that somebody wants to know this.
And stupid me went and changed my source code before I read the bugs.html
instructions so I lost the evidence. If I can reproduce it, I will submit
it a New Issue.
In the meantime, here is the evidence I have by cutting and pasting from
my 'history'.
t.chpl:49: In function 'fpMask':
t.chpl:49: internal error: CAL0120 chpl Version 1.16.0
Internal errors indicate a bug in the Chapel compiler ("It's us, not
you"), and we're sorry for the hassle. We would appreciate your reporting
this bug -- please see http://chapel.cray.com/bugs.html for instructions.
In the meantime, the filename + line number above may be useful in working
around the issue.
// form a bit mask in the least significand 'size' bits
proc fpMask(type Zsef, param size : integral) param where Zsef == integral // ME
{
param _1 = 1:Zsef;
return (_1 << size) - _1;
}
Line 49 is the one which is called ME
