Hi,

I am from AMD Research, and for the last few months, we have been working
on enabling native GPU execution support in Chapel. We are looking for
multiple interns and post-docs for this project, starting this January. The
work involves extending the Chapel compiler and runtime, porting
benchmarks, and conducting performance analysis & optimizations. Interested
candidates can contact Mike Chu [[email protected]] or me [
[email protected]]. Here is the formal advert.

*AMD Research internships on programming models and languages*

AMD Research is seeking internship candidates to conduct research on
programming models for heterogeneous systems. The research will explore
extending advanced programming models for scalable parallel architectures
including GPGPUs. There are open positions for both Winter 2017 and Summer
2017. Candidates pursuing MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
or a similar discipline is preferred. The following skill set is desirable
for the position:

* Knowledge of programming language implementation, GPGPU programming,
distributed systems, particularly PGAS models.
* Experience with compilers, especially LLVM
* Experience with the Chapel programming language model is a plus

Research results from internships at AMD Research often appear in reputable
conferences.

Interested candidates can email their resume/CV to Mike Chu [
[email protected]].

Thanks!
