Though I'm still a chplvis newbie myself, I don't think this is the case. 
Get/put should imply a read/write of remote data.  Task distribution 
should be represented by 'on calls' in the chplvis output.  Of course, 
having been fired off remotely, a task may also need to drag a bunch of 
data across with it (though, as much as possible, we try to send that data 
with it when possible).
