RE: Signs I'm not a member of your group. I run a business in Charles Village, I have done so 26 years. Some of you have never worked for yourselves independently as a small business owner. You cannot or will not ever understand what it's like to live hand to mouth some weeks or take in $40 during a slow day, which half of will go toward your rent after the government gets the other half.  Sometimes these signs are a visual tool to make the difference. While I agree they should not  obstruct public right of way, why not talk to the business owner who offends you rather then ruining it for all business owners and community services? I have a sign It is not near the sidewalk, however being visible has always been one of my most major problems.                                   Ellen Gifford                                   Hair Unlimited
